Jordan is the youngest qualified Level 3 Advanced Middle and Long Distance Coach with Athletics Australia and specialises in coaching juniors.
His enthusiastic and friendly approach is a big hit with his young runners.
Himself a former NSW Junior elite athlete, Jordan understands what it takes to train and compete at the highest level.
With several NSW Athletics and Cross Country individual and team medals Jordan understands the demands on young athletes on race day.
Throughout his High School years Jordan achieved outstanding results across a wide range of sports including triathlon, rugby league, rugby union, swimming and surf lifesaving, representing at regional and state level.
He was "Sportsman of the Year" at Marist College Pagewood in all six High School years. He was the Coogee Surf Life Saving Clubs Nippers Captain, and in 2012 received the "Pierre de Coubertin Award" from the Australian Olympic Committee for his participation and commendable behaviour on the sporting field.
As a coach Jordan has achieved outstanding success, and the Up And Running Squad under the guidance of Jordan has been impressive to say the least.
In 2016 eleven athletes between the ages of 9 and 14 qualified for the NSW All Schools Cross Country Championships with five finishing in the top 10 and three qualifying for the AUSTRALIAN Cross Country Championships. This was repeated in 2017 with twenty one athletes qualifying for NSW All Schools and five qualifying for the National Championships .
Further growth of his squad in 2018 saw twenty eight Cross Country athletes qualifying for NSW All Schools and ten qualifying for the NSW Team at the National Championships. Also that year the squad achieved great success in the sport of Triathlon with four athletes representing NSW at the Australia Triathlon Championships, with one taking the National Junior Medal.
2019 saw twenty four athletes qualifying for the NSW Athletics Cross Country Merit List and 9 in Athletics. Again his runners have had outstanding success in Triathlon with five being chosen for the NSW Triathlon Junior Development Pathway as well as the NSW Junior Female Triathlon Champion.
On the track he has produced outstanding results to State and National level in 100, 200, 400, 800, 1500, 3,000, 5,000 metre and 2000 metre Steeplechase events with his young athletes winning numerous medals across all Age Groups including triple Gold Medals to Piper Simpson in the 800, 1500m and 3000m, and a Gold Medal to James Tirado in the Para 800m at the Australian All Schools Track and Field Championships. In 2022 Laura Roderick was U20 National 5000m Champion and qualified for the Junior World Championships in Colombia in the 1500, 3000 and 5000m events.
The Up And Running singlet is always featured on the podium at major races across the country with several of the squads Junior Runners winning the Open Category.
Jordan is the Head Coach Athletics and Cross Country at The Emanuel School in Randwick, and senior Athletics Coach at St Catherine's School Waverley. He was the also the Junior Athletics and Cross Country Coach at Sydney's prestigious Kincoppal School in Rose Bay from 2017 to 2019 and writes their Athletics/Cross Country Training Programs.
He is admired by his young runners and their parents for his care, enthusiasm and passion for the sport.
