Never fear. The 2018 Australian Athletics Championships & Nomination Trial is your chance to sit in the very same stadium and soak up the atmosphere before April.
Tickets are now on sale for the four-day event which will see not only national champions crowned across 71 finals, but also the fight for track and field nomination for the Australian Commonwealth Games team.
Carrara Stadium is undergoing a huge transformation for the Games, and the 2018 Australian Athletics Championships & Nomination Trials will be the first opportunity for sports fans to experience the new set-up which includes an IAAF certified track and capacity for 35,000 spectators.
Three of the last four Commonwealth Games have resulted in stadium transformations with the Melbourne Cricket Ground in 2006, and Hampden Park in 2014 also receiving makeovers.
