Tickets now on sale for Australian Track and Field Championships

Athletics Australia is delighted to announce tickets are now on sale for the 2022 Chemist Warehouse Australian Track and Field Championships.
Held at Sydney Olympic Park Athletic Centre between March 26 – April 3, the 2022 Australian Track and Field Championships will take place over nine days, and will give spectators the chance to see Australia’s premier track and field stars compete for their tickets to the World Athletics Championships in Oregon and the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games this July and August.

Kicking off the action on Saturday, March 26 will be the country’s most promising junior talent, who will line up against their domestic counterparts to compete for a place in the record books and on the podium. Not only will our Under 20 athletes be out to win, they will look to strengthen their preparation before the World Under 20 Championships in Colombia.
At the conclusion of the program, our Open age athletes will contest across four days of steely competition. Following Australia’s success at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, a full line up of stars including medallists Ash Moloney, Kelsey-Lee Barber, Madison de Rozario, James Turner and Jaryd Clifford plus Peter Bol, Stewart McSweyn, Liz Clay and more, will be out to better their results from the Games in front of a home crowd, while Olympic silver medallist Nicola McDermott will return to the venue where she made history as the first Australian woman to clear 2.00m in the high jump.
As time ticks down to Oregon and Birmingham, athletes will be taking every opportunity so get ready for a fierce edition of this year’s Championships.
Athletics Australia Chief Executive Peter Bromley said: “So much Australian athletics history has gone down in the record books at Sydney Olympic Park and we’re thrilled to be returning to Sydney once again in partnership with Destination NSW, to witness more iconic moments at this year’s Australian Track and Field Championships.
“After the success of our team at the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, it’s fantastic that Sydneysiders and visitors will get the chance to see some of our brightest talent in action, and I encourage everyone to get themselves to Homebush to enjoy the spectacle.
“This is your chance to see your favourite track and field action up close and personal before we see them on our screens at the World Athletics Championships and Commonwealth Games later this year. Don’t miss out!”
Fans of athletics an also drop by the Puma pop up store to get their hands on official event merchandise and the Australian athletics fan range, and can lounge in the Chemist Warehouse activation zone, while being rehydrated by Hydralyte. There will also be a street artist in action, a Game zone for families and friends to compete themselves, and best of all, spectators can also meet their favourite track and field athletes in Athletics Australia’s exclusive selfie and autograph zone.

In the interests of health and safety of the Australian athletics community, all attendees to the 2022 Australian Track and Field Championships must be fully vaccinated. All attendees will be required to scan-in to the venue using the Service NSW app and show proof of vaccination at the point of entry.
