Preview of the 2019 Albie Thomas Mile

This Saturday will see the Australian Mile Championships return to The Crest as part of the Albie Thomas Mile for the second time, after the Championships' reintroduction after a 25-year hiatus in 2018.
The men's mile shapes up with four sub-four minute Milers on the line - with Olympian Jeff Riseley continuing his return to running against past winner Jordan Gusman, national medallist Rorey Hunter and James Hansen.
But the women's mile shapes up as one of the best middle distance races held in Australia for years, with no less than seven Australian representatives set to battle it out - with Jenny Blundell, Georgia Griffith, Brittany Kaan, Keely Small, Rose Davies and Jaylah Hancock-Cameron set to take on reigning 1,500m Australian Champion Chloe Tighe, as well as NCAA-Champion and all-round superstar Jessica Hull, who will compete on Aussie soil for the first time in 4 years.
There will be FREE entry to The Crest to watch the Albie Thomas Mile and the event will be broadcast on Bankstown Sports Athletics Club's Facebook and YouTube pages.
