On your marks... travelling to and from Carrara Stadium

Here’s your handy guide for getting to and from the 2018 Australian Athletics Championships & Nomination Trial.
Carrara Stadium is situated on Nerang-Broadbeach Rd, within the revitalised Carrara Sports Precinct.
PUBLIC TRAINSPORT
Heavy rail (train) -
The closest train station to the Carrara Precinct is Nerang Station. Nerang Station is approximately a 25-minute walk (2.4km) to the Carrara Precinct along a shared pathway.
Bus
Existing public bus services operated by Surfside Buses are available. Refer to the Translink website for information relating to route service timetables.
Patrons are encouraged to plan their trip on public transport services by using the MyTransLink app, by visiting translink.com.au, or by calling 131230.
Venue parking
Alabaster Drive Car Park
Limited event parking will be located in the Alabaster Drive Car Park, adjacent to Carrara Stadium. Access to this car park is via Alabaster Drive, at a charge of $15 per standard vehicle (per entry/visit). Cash payment will only be accepted at the car park entry gate; no Eftpos facilities will be available.
It is suggested each vehicle has their cash ready prior to entry, and correct change is always appreciated.
Once parked, it is then short walk across the Nerang-Broadbeach Road (using the traffic intersection pedestrian crossing) to gain access into the venue via Gate 1.
Buses/coaches will also not be permitted entry to this car park without prior authorisation.
Public parking underneath the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre is not available. Valid parking permits are required to access this area and without the appropriate permit, vehicles will be refused entry. Permits are not available for purchase by the public.
Accessible parking
Limited public accessible parking is available within the Alabaster Drive Car Park. These areas are strictly reserved for holders of a valid, government issues disability parking permit. An allocation of accessible parking is also available underneath the Gold Coast Sport and Leisure Centre for athletes/patrons with valid event-specific parking permits (issued by Athletics Australia)
Once the allocation of accessible parking has been exhausted, patrons will be required to seek alternative arrangements. Suggestions include, but are not limited to:
· Utilising a taxi service for a full or part journey; or
· Utilising one of the private parking operators nearby to the Stadium.
Further private parking options
There are a number of other private operators that offer paid car parking in close proximity to Carrara Stadium. These parking options are privately run and are not associated with the event or Carrara Stadium. Please note these parking options may vary at any time at the discretion of the car park operator.
Venue drop-off and pick-up zone
A designated drop off zone will be available, accessible from Nerang Broadbeach Rd. This is reserved for vehicles dropping off only.
