AA commends outgoing Paralympics Australia CEO Lynne Anderson for contribution to Para-sport

Athletics Australia (AA) CEO Peter Bromley has both thanked and congratulated outgoing Paralympics Australia CEO Lynne Anderson for her efforts in bolstering Paralympic sport over her tenure.
Anderson will step down from the role at the end of 2021, after six years and two Paralympics Games.
“Over the last six years, Lynne Anderson has taken Paralympics Australia and the Paralympic movement in Australia to new heights, and without a doubt has changed the sporting landscape for people with a disability,” Bromley said.
“When Lynne started in the role, she quickly got her hands dirty and over the last Games cycle, she has achieved an incredible amount. Because of her commitment to advocating for the movement, there is greater equity for Para-athletes in high performance funding, an expansion of Paralympic innovation that has directly benefited our athletes and coaches for Tokyo, and a strong voice overall for people with a disability in Australian society. It’s easy to say that Para-sport and Para-athletes have come of age in Australia under her leadership.
“On behalf of the entire Australian athletics community, I’d like to thank Lynne for her outstanding contribution to sport – and particularly our sport – and congratulate her for her achievements. We wish her all the very best for the next chapter.”
