As the 2023 Chemist Warehouse Australian All Schools Championships draw near, the spotlight turns to a group of promising athletes for the capital.

These rising stars have etched their names in recent competitions, and among them stand many who will be going for gold. 

Olivia Galang
U14 800m and 1500m

Renowned as one of ACT's most promising juniors, Olicia Galang emerges as a force across two disciplines. A standout in the 800m and 1500m races, Galang ranks within the top three across the nation in both. Most recently, she secured a remarkable silver in the U14 800m at the Australian Junior Championships, and her recent win in the U16 Mile at the On Track Nights Zatopek:10 further cements her status as a versatile and determined athlete poised for success.

Aisha Shave
U15 200m Hurdles

Aisha Shave, the talent from Telopea Park School commands attention with her stellar performances across multiple events. A consistent medallist in the 100m, 200m, 200m Hurdles and Long Jump, Aisha's recent form signals her readiness to shine in Perth. 

Elijah Wilson
U17 Shot Put

Elijah Wilson's prowess in the shot put continues to impress, marked by a commendable second-place finish at the 2023 Australian Junior Championships when throwing 14.94m. Wilson's dominance in the U17 Shot Put, ranking first with a personal best of 16.57 positions him as a formidable contender. Adding to his accollades is the silver medal in the Men's U17 Shot Put at the Australian Championships in Brisbane, reaffirming his stature as a rising star in the sport.

Owen Toyne
U17 5000m Race Walk

Owen Toyne's speed has garnered attention nationwide, exemplified by his record-setting performance in the U16 3000m Race Walk at last year's iteration of the Championships. With impressive personal bests of 12:04.90 and 20:21.89 across the 3000m and 5000m distances, Owen's presence in both events positions him as one to watch.
