2017 World Para Athletics Championships

The 2017 World Para-Athletics Championships launch a summer of athletics in London (GBR) next month and Team Australia will be there with 37 athletes taking to the field of play at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park from 14-23 July 2017.

Determined to continue the form that saw them win 26 medals (three gold, nine silver, 14 bronze) at Rio 2016, the green and gold squad includes Paralympic Games gold medallists James Turner (NSW), Scott Reardon (ACT) and Brayden Davidson (SA) to join reigning world champions Todd Hodgetts (Tas), Angela Ballard (NSW),Madison de Rozario (NSW) and Isis Holt (Vic).

It also welcomes four debutants, with Cameron Crombie (F38, ACT), Martin Jackson (F38, Vic), Daniel Kirk(F44, SA) and Sarah Edmiston (F44, WA) all to take to the thrower’s circle in national colours for the first time.
