TEAM STAFF

WHAT DOES TEAM STAFF DO?

Australian teams require a wide variety of Team Staff who can have a major impact on the collective and individual performance of the team. The number of Team Staff assigned to a representative competition and their roles and responsibilities depends on many factors including the team size, the age and experience of the athletes, the significance and location of the competition and the nature of the event (for example able-bodied, junior or Para track and field events, walks, road running, cross country, or a mixture of all or some of these elements).

HOW CAN I BECOME A TEAM STAFF MEMBER?

Team staff positions are very limited. We expect more applications than team places so not every applicant in the Staff Pool will have opportunities in 2025.

In general, Team Coaches and Team Managers are voluntary positions. However, AA will provide appropriate accreditation and team uniform, and will cover travel and accommodation costs for the tour.

Nominations for Team Staff positions on our 2025 teams can be submitted below.

Nominations will close on 5 January, 2025 @ 17:00 AEDT.
