Pride in Athletics
Athletics Australia is a Member of Pride in Sport and Proud 2 Play’s Rainbow Sport Alliance.
Athletics Australia has partnered with Pride in Sport and Proud 2 Play to ensure all Australians are able to enjoy our great sport.
Athletics Australia has zero-tolerance for anyone that shows or displays of homophobic/transphobic/biphobic/interphobic specific bullying, harassment and/or vilification within the sport be that on or off the track.

Pride in Sport
Pride in Sport is Australia’s National Sporting inclusion program which helps sporting organisations and clubs with the benchmarking inclusion of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Intersex (LGBTI+) employees, players, volunteers and spectators.
This means improving all aspects of LGBTI+ inclusion, achieving best practice as benchmarked by the Pride in Sport Index and creating better health outcomes for LGBTI+ participants and fans through creating inclusive spaces which remove homophobia, stigma and discrimination.

Proud 2 Play
Proud 2 Play work with all levels of the Athletics community, from individual participants and grassroots communities.
We continue to encourage LGBTI+ people (as well as their allies, friends and families) to participate and engage in Athletics and exercise by providing structured opportunities and pathways for them to do so.
