Commermorative Coaches Pins
As a special element of the 100th edition of the Australian Championships, the principal personal coach of each athlete placed first, second or third in each individual Australian Open championship will receive a commemorative 100th championship pin.
Athletes are being asked to nominate their coach at the medal ceremony. The list is in turn provided to the TIC at around 5pm on each day of competition to enable coaches to collect and sign for their pin. Each coach will be listed only once and will receive one pin only irrespective of the number of placegetters they coach at the championships. Pins are not available for self-coached athletes as they will already have received the special championships medallion.
Bib Collection/Accrediation available from TIC and Training (on the Warm Up Track) from 3.30pm - 6.00pm on Wednesday 29th March 2023. No training on the Main Stadium.
Implment Check in - 3 hrs prior to the scheduled start of the event - if your event is early in the morning, then the night before. Technical will be open for Implement check in on Wednesday 29th March from 3.30pm - 6.00pm.
Check in is via the SMS txt message. These are sent progressivly from 5.00pm the night before. If you don't recieve a txt then you will need to check in at TIC 90 minutes prior to the scheduled start time of the event. All international based athletes will need to check in at TIC)

International Member Federation Nominations: Now Open: (This is not for Australian athletes) All international athletes must have aproval to compete from their Member Federation. Approval for NZL athletes will between Athletics Australia and Athletics New Zealand directly.

About: Featuring in an historical year for Australian athletics will be the 100th edition of the Australian Track and Field Championships (30 March – 2 April) and the Australian Junior (under 14 to Under 18) Track and Field Championships (13-17 April), proudly supported by the Queensland Government, through Tourism and Events Queensland and Brisbane City Council, through Brisbane Economic Development Agency. Together, these two championships will determine the country’s best athletes in more than 300 events.
Acting as the selection trial for both the 2023 World Athletics Championships in Budapest and the World Para Athletics Championships in Paris, the 2023 Australian Track and Field Championships will attract the nation’s top talent on their quest for world glory as they lay down a season of work at Queensland Sports and Athletics Centre.
