AA Age Groups: U14 (born 09, 10), U15 (born 08), U16 (born 07), U17 (born 06), U18 (born 05), U20 (born 04, 03), Open (born no later than 06), Para U15 (born 08, 09, 10), Para U17 (born 06, 07), Para U20 (born 03, 04, 05), Para Open. 

U23 Championships: Athletes born in 2000, 2001 and 2002) are eligible for U23 medals. Athletes need to enter and compete in the Open age group. 

Athletes must turn 12 in the year of competition (2022), to compete in these Championships (with the exception of the SSA 10, 11 and 12yrs events where SSA rules appy)

Para Athletes: Para Athletes must have a current provisional or full national classificaiton to enter in the AA races. Para Athletes in SSA events must be approved by SSA.

Course Familiarisation: Friday 1pm-3pm

Entries: Entries are submitted by the Member Associations (Click here for contact) and School Sport Associations. These close on the 15th August. Following that the entry lists will be produced and published here by the 18th August. Late Entries close 5pm, 22nd August. 

Shoes: Click here to declare shoes - All athletes in the U20 (including SSA 18/19 Boys/Girls) and Open Men/Women races will need to declare their shoes prior to Monday 22nd August.

Relays: There are no relay events offered by Athletics Australia in 2022. School Sport Australia offer relays for their selected teams on Monday 29th August. 

Athletics Australia Covid Policy for Competition: As of 1 July 2022 the Athletics Australia Competitions Covid Policy is as follows:

1.  Athletics Australia will observe and apply on any day on which is conducts a competition, the COVID-19 Guidelines then:
   1. in force by any state/teritory government within whose jurisdiction the event is being conducted; and/or
   2. required by the operator of any venue(s) it is using for the competition
2. Athletics Australia strongly recommends that for any of its competitions all participants and spectators over 5 years of age are at least double vaccinated.
