The broadcast window is selected to include the maximum number of finals, and will be as per the schedule below. Due to the complexities of a large 9-day championship with thousands of athletes in action and multiple events in progress at any one time, not every event will be broadcast – the best way to watch is always by attending and watching live at the stadium. However, we encourage you to also download the Roster Athletics App on the app store of your choice, where live results will be posted including round by round field event trials.

  1. The following events have changed days:
  • Open Women's Wheelchair 400m (moved to 11 Apr)
  • Open Men's Wheelchair 400m (moved to 11 Apr)
  1. Changes in Event Times

Where an event has changed time, this is shown in the timetable in bold type.

It will be noted that on Thursday, Friday and Saturday this, in many cases involves the movement later in the day of many events and in a few cases, a movement earlier in the day.
This has been done to “fill in” the break in the program that was previously scheduled for each of those three days – to enable more events to be included the livestream of the Championships. We were not notified until very recently that the break would reduce the number of events that could be shown.

We are conscious that these changes may create issues for some athletes in terms of their planned departures from Perth. If this is the case for you please email competitions@athletics.org.au outlining the particular problem in your case.

As a result of feedback we have changed the times of three events on Thursday and one event on Saturday. These are shown with a yellow background. These event times have now also been adjusted in Roster.

  1. Further Cancellation of Rounds

IF at the time of confirmation (or earlier if scratchings are received) the maximum number of athletes who have confirmed or who may confirm is less than that requiring three rounds, the following rounds will be cancelled:

  • Open Men’s 800m (the scheduled 1st Round will remain  – 11 April at 6.40pm (and the SF cancelled)
