Biography

Ella Connolly is a rising star of Australian athletics and is the youngest member of the Australian team that will compete at the IAAF World Championships.

Aged just 16 years, she had moved her sprint times down to 11.90 (100m), 23.66 (200m) and 52.96 (400m) making her international debut at the 2017 Commonwealth Youth Games in the Bahamas. She was also added to the Australian senior team for the 2017 IAAF World Championships to run on the 4x400m relay team.

Ella is a Year 12 student at the St Columban’s College.

She has two talented brothers, Jonte and Josh. Josh competed in the high jump at the 2015 World Youth Championships and 2016 World Juniors Championships and Jonte is a talented touch football player who also placed fourth in high jump (on countback) at the 2017 Australian Junior Athletics Championships.
