BIOGRAPHY

Corey Anderson had a fantastic start to his career when in 2019 he twice raised the F38 Javelin throw world record, the second occasion when winning the World Para Athletics Championships title in Dubai. His throws were 55.14m, then 56.28m. In 2020 he raised that record to 58.18m. At the delayed Paralympics in Tokyo he was fourth with a throw of 54.48m.

In 2023 he competed at the Para-Athletics World Championships in Paris, where he placed 5th with a throw of 44.89m. Then in May 2024 there was tremendous progress when he threw 49.73m to place fourth at his third Para-Athletics World Championships held in Kobe Japan. It was promising progress as he was two metres behind the silver and bronze medallists.

Later in 2024 he was named for his second Paralympic Games team, where he will again compete in the F38 Javelin throw.

Corey holds many Australian throwing records, both senior and junior in the shot/discus and javelin.

Corey has studied a Certificate III in Personal Training. Born and raised in the Sydney’s Sutherland area it is no surprise he supports the Cronulla Sharks NRL team.
