Deaf and Hard of Hearing Impairment (Sport Classes TF01)

Deaf Sports Australia (DSA) is the national sports organisation that are responsible for Hearing Impaired classifications. Athletes wishing to obtain a classification as a Hearing Impaired Athlete, must complete the following steps. 

STAGE 1 - NEW ATHLETES 

Athletes must first obtain an Audiogram through a hearing test. Once the athlete obtains an Audiogram they can complete stage 2. For more information on an Audiogram please click on the link below.

STAGE 2 : APPLY FOR A DEAF SPORTS AUSTRALIA CLASSIFICATION

Any Athlete who wishes to compete as a multi-class athlete with a deaf and hard of hearing classification must apply for a classification through Deaf Sports Australia. Athletes can apply for a classification by completing the Deaf Sports Australia online eligibility form and submitting a copy of their Audiogram, through the below link;
